  • Reading by Nellja Veremej – in German
  • „Franz Biberkopf’s late heiress: The debut of Russian-born novelist Nellja Veremej is an enchanting declaration of love to a harsh city. A Berlin-novel one has missed until now.“
(FAZ, June 7th 2013, Sabine Berking)

As part of the series EXILE_Art_Perspectives, showing at Kunsthaus Dahlem in conjunction with the current exhibition „New/ Old Homeland“ and including lectures and talks on the topic of homeland, we invite you for Nellja Veremej’s (b. 1963 in Russia) read from her novel „Berlin is in the East“. It is a enlightening work: tells about childhood in the Caucasus and German hopes; about a Berlin, in which West and East are magically intertwined.
