EDGY, SHARP, DIRECT: Painting with the Whole Body – Inclusive workshop featuring the specially invited Juliane Siebecke | Sunday programme
About the Workshop
While painting, Emilio Vedova used his whole body – quick movements with the brush, large sweeping gestures, and bold colours! But in his works, it was not only about movement; he was also concerned with the political and social issues of his time.
Just like Vedova, in our workshop we let the lines run freely and explore what this means for us. A line warm-up introduces us to movement. The musical accompaniment helps us find the ideal motions for our drawings or words, so we can express what moves us in the world and what we care about. From this, small and large panels are created, like Vedova’s Plurimi, which we can assemble into a collective artwork or take home with us.
With Juliane Siebecke (Choreographer, actress), accompanied by Anna Meerwein (art educator, artist) and Rosa Witt (student workshop facilitator)
