About the tour

On this tour, you will gain insight into the concept behind Melanie Ender’s engagement with the space of Kunsthaus Dahlem. The exhibition curator, Yevheniia Havrylenko, will discuss what the fragile works in metal and textile set against the former atelier of Arno Breker – the workplace of one of the leading monumental sculptors of National Socialism. Ender’s approach to material will also be considered in the context of developments in sculpture that, since the post-war period, have increasingly redefined the relationship between artist and material. In addition, together with the curator, you will have an opportunity to reflect on the political dimensions of this relationship.
