FACE TO FACE
11:00-12:30 a.m. &
13:00-14:30 p.m.
Photography workshop for children aged 6 and over and their accompanying adults with photographer Michelle Martins Carvalho, supported by art educators Marian Fuchs and Anna Meerwein.
What do we see when we observe other people? What impression of the person do we store? Which facial expressions and gestures do we remember? And how can we bring these to the fore photographically? Starting from the works of the artist Peter Laszlo Péri, we examine these questions with photographic means. The artist showed great interest in people, their way of life and relationships, especially since the 1930s. His art was intended to express a social and emotional level in appropriate poses of the figures.
In this workshop children work face to face with their companions to create personal portraits and, along the way, learn simple techniques of photography. In the end, portrait photos of unique observational styles are created.
We would like to exhibit the portraits made in the course in the mediation room of the Kunsthaus Dahlem until the end of the exhibition of Peter Laszlo Péri. However, approval of this is not a condition of participation!
Feel free to bring your own camera.
Participation limited!
