Pia Lanzinger – Biography
Pia Lanzinger lives and works as an artist in Berlin. Her work focuses on collaborative projects in public space that seek to identify and engage with societal ruptures and contradictions, using them as a starting point for communicative experiments. Lanzinger’s performative and mostly participatory actions include public games, performances, and guided tours that incorporate vocal interventions, theatrical elements, dance, and music. She realises her projects and exhibitions both within institutions and in public spaces. Artist residencies have taken her to South Korea, Tbilisi, Paris, Worpswede, Scotland, and Istanbul, among other places. She has taught at various art academies and curated exhibitions in both art institutions and public settings. Pia Lanzinger is a member of the Association of German Artists.
