About the tour

Melanie Ender (*1984, Vienna) and Gulnur Mukazhanova (*1984, Kazakhstan) present two approaches – different yet similar – to working with the cultural and historical layers of a place – in this case, Kunsthaus Dahlem. Both artists reveal or point to connections with the past that persist somewhere in between and continue to shape our present in unseen ways.

During the tour, curators Petra Gördüren and Yevheniia Havrylenko will introduce the works of Gulnur Mukazhanova and Melanie Ender and offer insights into how the site-specific installations were created and the ideas behind them.
