The exhibition on Eva Frankfurther (1930–1959) is dedicated to the remarkable work of the Berlin-born Jewish artist, who emigrated with her family to London in 1939 to escape Nazi persecution. Featuring more than 40 paintings and works on paper, the exhibition presents her sensitive portraits and social studies of immigrant and working-class communities in London’s East End. Marked by empathy and keen observation, Frankfurther’s work offers a nuanced perspective on migration, exile, and cultural diversity in post-war Europe.
Opening: 22.10.2026
